About Our Rabbinic Consultancy
Responding from within the Heart of the Jewish Tradition
Work Rooted in Hard Earned IndiJEWnous Knowledge
Jewish Lineage and Depth of Experience Cultivated Across Decades Make a Difference
Our Rabbinic Consultancy was created to address a hole in the organizational matrix of the growing Jewish movement to Counter the Global phenomenon of AntiZionism.
Most of the current work responding to antizionism as an antiJewish Hate movement is coming out of three sectors, all of which are doing good work and which are deeply needed. These sectors are institutional in nature and are driven by Academics, younger generation Jewish Influencers (Jewfluencers), and legacy Jewish advocacy and antisemitism organizations.
What is missing are Jewish lineage based, rabbinically driven approaches that offer Jewish spiritual methodologies and sensibilities paired with paths for mediation and dialogue within the Jewish community itself.
Here at IndiJEWnous Response, we are offering programs designed to inspire action across the Jewish spectrum. Encouraging Jewish Civic Engagement, giving positive purpose and supporting a thriving Jewish future in the Diaspora, in Israel AND between the Diaspora and Israel for a united Global Jewish People evolving together.
רב אמשיי עץ אלון
Rabbi Amashé Etz Alon
Drawing on their 25 years of Pioneering work in the fields of Jewish Indigeneity and Jewish Paths of Healing and Transformation, Rav Amashé is an inspiring and informative teacher, offering well developed methodologies that can be custom tailored to the specific needs of individuals, communities and organizations.
Formal Rabbinic Training and Ordination: Rav Amashé was first authorized to work as a Rabbinic Pastor in 2003 through ordination by Rabbi Daniel Lev and special commission by their mentor Reb Zalman z”l.
Their full rabbinic ordination was completed privately by Rabbi Zalman Schacter-Shalomi z”l in the Fall of 2009 following 6 years of intense immersed training across multiple modalities of Jewish spiritual leadership– encompassing over 6,000 hours of field work including congregational internships; 2,000 hours of supervised training in Jewish spiritual counseling and spiritual direction; 3 years of lineage training according to the line of Novorodak in Halacha, Mussar and Kabbalah under the direction of Rabbi Gershon Winkler who conferred rabbinic ordination on them in the Spring of 2009; two separate ordination programs as a Maggid led by Jewish Scholar and Maggid Yitzhak Buxbaum z”l; and as a Maggidic Pastor by Rabbi Daniel Lev as an addendum to their previous ordination as a Rabbinic Pastor.
Their formal rabbinic and maggidic studies were augmented with many years of touring through almost every kind of Jewish community one can find in the United States- from the most Ultra Orthodox in New York to Jerusalem Camp at Rainbow Gatherings and everything in between… culminating with several years of immersion in Jewish Indigeneity studies and Jewish-Native American relationships while living in New Mexico.
Rav Amashé is descended from an ancient Jewish clan and rabbinic family that specialize in the spiritual healing lines in the Tradition of King David. They have spent their entire life immersed in these healing modalities and transmit them as their primary “Way of Being.”
Lineage trained from the age of 4; Educated across multiple Jewish, Indigenous, Academic and Healing Disciplines; working with Diverse Jewish and Indigenous Practitioners and spectrums of Peoples. Raised among multiple elements of Jewish society- Hasidic, Conservative, and Secular-Reform, they are trained and rabbinically ordained from within Ultra Orthodox and Jewish Renewal movements as well as working alongside Indigenous Lineages syncretic to the Hebraic Tradition.
Placed among the first group of openly Intersex rabbis and being THE first openly Intergendered rabbi of the Jewish People already invokes several points of modern “social justice” movements. Rav Amashé also was raised from within the USA Civil Rights movement and works as a rabbinic emissary to Native American and Global Indigenous Peoples.
One of Rav Amashé’s specialties is the ability to speak to People where they are at, bridging ideological positions and getting to the core issues being examined in ways that people can directly relate to. They are Traditionally trained across their lifetime and respect the path of Lineage deeply, while also understanding the progressive imperatives of our day.
With 25 years of professional experience and a well developed Signature body of work, Rav Amashé has spent their career cultivating an exceptional network of colleagues, peers and allied practitioners not only in the United States and Israel, but around the World.
